About the Sheen for She Foundation

The Sheen for She Foundation is a registered women's charity, and the first of its kind in Canada. The Sheen for She Foundation defines self-care as the practice of building a woman's image with grooming, personal hygiene to develop her self-esteem, confidence, and professionalism. This is a specialized sector of self-care that is neglected in the lives of women who are at risk due to socio-economic factors, including domestic violence, drug addictions, forced marriages, mental/physical health, sex trafficking, and poverty.

At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Team Sheen for She delivered north of 10K Perseverance Aid Kits (PAKs) to at-risk women and youth and partnered with over 80 women's organizations and shelters. The outreach project spanned the GTA and local rural communities in Ontario. The Perseverance Aid Project (PAP) successfully reduced rates of violence, anxiety, feelings of powerlessness, and produced evidence-based learnings in support of the Sheen for She Foundaiton's self-care cause.

The Sheen for She Foundation has been recognized and featured in CBC, Global News, The Toronto Star, Lifestyle Magazine, Omni News, BlogTO, York University, Arizona State University, and more.
